Palm Sunday & Resurrection Sunday

Easter must be early this year, or time is going fast! This Sunday, the 28th, is Palm Sunday, and April 4th is Easter (is that too obvious?!). I'm not sure if everyone will do a teaching on the triumphal entry, but I thought I would get a discussion going on ideas for both this, and Resurrection Sunday.

I have some of the large pieces of green construction paper and I am thinking about having my kids (1st and 2nd grade) make palms. It's simple, but I would have them act out the story too. Have you found simple crafts are often better? But there is a fine line between simple and boring for kids :).

Please share what you're thinking as far as the "big start," teaching, crafts, games, etc. Thanks!

  1. I have a template for a palm leaf that the kids can cut out and then tape a pipe cleaner to the back. I can have a couple of extras at the front desk for anyone who would like one.
